Igor Gorin was born Jan 1, 1952 in Transcarpathia, Ukraine. Until 1969 he attended
schools in Carpathian Region (Nadvirna, Kosiv). He graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic
Institute in 1977. Igor Gorin is an architect by training.
1977-1982 - worked as a landscape architect in Lviv.
1982-1989 - moved to Western Siberia as Chief Architect and soon afterwards became Head
Artist of the town of Uray in Tyumen Region, West Siberia, Russia.
He started painting in 1985.
He returned to Lviv in 1989, began to paint actively. He took part in his first
international exhibitions "Impreza'93" and "Silver Quadrangle" in 1994.
His individual exhibitions took place starting from 1995 in Ukraine and other European
countries, and his work was published in magazines and newspapers. While travelling
throughout Europe he published a series of graphic works entitled "Journeys".
He had solo exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic,
German, Netherlands and Canada.
Now he lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine.
